Scholarship

On a happier note, I just thought I'd tell you that your "Dean's List daughter/granddaughter/niece/cousin/sister" just won a $500 scholarship from Middlsex Community College (my current school) to use towards furthuring my education at (hopefully) Southern State University in the Fall in Social Work.

I had to fill out an application, write a letter about myself, my motivations, and why I feel I should receive a scholarship and then get two recommendation letters from a professor and someone else (I used my intern supervisor).

I am ecstatic that I was even considered for such a thing! It's not $10,000, but this will definitely pay for my books for a semester and just being chosen is an honor for me. I never did this well in high school.
